Babybop is a project aiming to young Jazz players/students. Currently it is a collaboration between my student Jóel Örn Óskarsson, Embla Dýrfjörð on bass and myself. Jóel is an active student of the CHORD LAB course in our music school TONAK and needless to say his progress and attendance has been exemplary. Embla our ´Pride and Joy´ is the youngest member of our group, 15 years old and after a couple of rehearsals she was on board in no time :) BabyBop wants to give young improvisers the opportunity to play along with more experienced musicians.
